What are some of your addictions?

Let's see....there are many.
How about tea? I love tea and I get made fun of whenever I buy more. It is so good with just a little sugar and some half-and-half. I drink it every morning. I just counted and I have 6 different kinds in my desk drawer.
Flickr the website. It's fun and its a good way to keep up with friends as long as they continue to post pictures! I think I log in once a day and just browse for fun.
Trying new recipes and food. I go to the farmer's market once a week and plan recipes for fun. Speaking of, dinner on New Year's Eve should be great. I'm looking forward to it!
There are more I'm sure....so I will continue to add to this list.
My office is very cold. I am about to get up and start running in place to keep warm.
I've been out of town for a week, attending weddings and visiting my family. It was fun. Anyway.....
What is your pet peeve, the one thing which really drives you mad?

There are two things actually.
When people say, "All's I know..." I go nuts on the inside. I only ever hear this from people who have grown up in the Seattle area or who have lived here a really long time. What gives?
Also, when people eat ice cream and put a spoonful in their mouth and then pull half of it back out because they can't eat all of it. Gross! Just know if you do this, I am watching you. Same goes for yogurt, frosting, or anything creamy on a spoon. Don't do it!
What's the most drastic change you've ever made to your appearance?

When I was in college, I decided it would be a really good idea to shave my head (longer on the top and short on the sides!) and dye what little hair I had left red. Eek! I had a friend do the shaving part and I dyed my hair myself. I have a picture somewhere, so I can post that a little later. Ha-ha! I was listening to a lot of hardcore at the time.....maybe that's why I did it.
I saw a fabulous photography exhibit this weekend at the Henry.
Large format color photographs taken by Stephen Shore between 1968-1993.
I like this quote by him...
A quote that I like very much... comes close to explaining my attitude about taking photographs.... "Chinese poetry rarely trespasses beyond the bounds of actuality... the great Chinese poets accept the world exactly as they find it in all its terms and with profound simplicity... they seldom talk about one thing in terms of another; but are able enough and sure enough as artists to make the ultimately exact terms become the beautiful terms."
If I had a gazillion dollars, my walls would be covered.
See for yourself:
And there are more here.
Sometimes I forget about this little blog.
Anyway, I really don't have much to say. In the last week I have been invited to two weddings, one invitation from a college friend who is getting married in Mexico and the other, a friend of my husband's. I would like to go to both but I'll have to think about if I really want to spend all that money on flights and such.
Um....yea. It's been raining a lot, but I like it. It makes me not feel so bad when I just want to stay home and watch TV or read recipe books.
Anyway, that's about it. I'm boring, but I don't care.
